About My Writing
For more than 20 years, I've written about the arts, both as a journalist and as a promotional writer. My byline has appeared in publications ranging from The New York Times and New York Magazine to Entertainment Weekly and Playbill. My corporate clients have included Columbia Records, A&E Television and American Express. I've written personality profiles, behind-the-scenes pieces and all manner of marketing materials from brochures and press kits to artist bios and program descriptions. I also spent a year writing corporate communications material for an oil and gas syndication firm, so I can do "dry" with the best of them. But "dry" isn't the only way to get a serious point across.
As you've probably gathered, I'm fortunate to have well-developed right- and left-brain skills, which allows me to communicate comfortably with people who are artistically inclined, as well as those who are more business-oriented. I'm clear-thinking, have a sense as humor (applied when appropriate), and am skilled in crafting straightforward pieces that are informative as well as enjoyable.
In addition to taking on writing assignments, I am presently working on a book. And I’m always curious about new subjects — perhaps yours! Contact me via my Contact Form or at robin (at) hedonisticwellness (dot) com to discuss how I can help you find the right words for your project.
